As part of Eastbourne Tyre Co Ltd, Fort Road, who have been selling tyres in Eastbourne since 1925, we know that choosing tyres can be a minefield. Your tyres are the only part of the car that is in contact with the road. Therefore, good quality, safe tyres are essential for safe driving.
We hold a huge range of tyres in stock but, in the event that we do not have what you need, we can usually get them delivered to us within a few hours or the next day.
We recommend that you check all your tyres monthly for condition, tread depth and air pressure and if you are not sure how to do any of this, our staff will be more than happy to help you do this for free.

TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) systems are installed to inform the driver of low tyre pressures or a sudden deflation of tyres. The primary aim of the legislation in Europe is to reduce the overall carbon footprint attributed to cars, by maximising tyre life and fuel efficiency.
TPMS has become part of the MOT test on all cars fitted with the technology that were first used on or after the 1st January 2012. Since 2015 cars fitted with TPMS have the system checked for correct function as part of the MOT test.
Source: Tests were carried out by independent experts, the Motor Industry Research Association, in 2003 and 2004 on four different vehicles: a mid-range family hatchback, an MPV, executive saloon and a high-performance saloon car. Depth of water controlled to 0.5mm to 1.5mm, on an asphalt road surface. Maximum braking force applied from a speed of 50mph. Tyres were tested at four different tread depths – 8mm (new), 5mm, 3mm and 1.6mm.
